The Mid-Central College Conference is proud to recognize excellence in recent competitions with the weekly award of Player of the Week honors. These student-athletes have excelled in recent competitions and are recognized for their impressive contributions.Winners for the week of January 23, 2012 are Alex Sylvester of Marian University, and Krystal Stoneking of Indiana Wesleyan.

Sylvester helped lead the MU Knights in upsets of #4 Grace College, and RV Indiana Wesleyan to propel the Knights into six way tie for 3rd in conference standings.

Stoneking averaged over twenty points in the Wildcats two defeats of nationally ranked opponents this past week. Stoneking has been a vital player for the IWU squad which is currently sitting first in conference standings, ranked #1 in NAIA Women's Basketball DII, and is a perfect 10-0 in MCC play.
