
The 2011-12 Mid-Central Conference women's basketball All-Conference selections have been announced. These outstanding student-athletes distinguished themselves over the course of the season, and are honored as 1st, 2nd, or honorable mention All-Conference. An All-Freshmen team recognizes freshmen ladies who were important players for their respective teams.
This year's Player of the Year is Krystal Stoneking of Indiana Wesleyan. Stoneking was a dominant force for the Wildcats as they claimed the 2011-12 MCC regular season championship. Stoneking is joined on the All-Conference 1st team by Laura Johnson of Bethel, Kelsey Green of Huntington, Danielle Boykin of Grace, and Erin Guarneri of Taylor.
Liesl Davenport is honored as this seasons Freshmen of the Year. Davenport has been an strong contributor for Huntington this season, helping the Foresters to a third place finish at the end of the regular season standings.
Jody Martinez is the MCC Coach of the Year for 2011-12. Under his direction the Bethel Pilots finished the regular season with a 12-6 conference record, #2 seed in the conference tournament, and are currently ranked #15 in the NAIA top 25.
