Grace College senior guard Marcus Moore (Columbia City, IN/Columbia City) took a historic step into the Grace College record books Saturday evening.   Marcus went over the 2,000 point mark for his career in a 70-63 victory over Valley City State (ND) in the Championship game of the Trinity International Tournament.  Going into the game he stood at 1,994 career total points and once again led the Lancers with 20 pushing his total to 2,014. He becomes only the 8th player in the history of Grace College Men’s Basketball to eclipse the 2,000 point plateau.


Marcus going into this weekend has scored in double figures every game this season for the Lancers and is currently averaging 20.3 points per game.  He is shooting 48% from the field and 40 % from behind the 3 point line.  He also is averaging 3.8 rebounds per game ranking him first among all guards on the team.  The Lancers coming into the year were pre-season ranked #13 in the country among NAIA Division II teams.  They currently stand at 8-2 overall and begin MCC play at home against Taylor University on Tuesday, December 4th at 7:00 p.m.
