MARION, Ind. – Indiana Wesleyan University junior guard Jon Moon reached the 1,000 career point plateau on Saturday, January 19 during the Wildcats’ contest at University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Moon entered the contest with 990 career points and finished the afternoon with 13 points to land him at 1,003 points at Indiana Wesleyan.

In his third season as a Wildcat, Moon has played in 69 contests and has averaged 14.5 points per game.

Moon is the second men’s basketball student-athlete this season to reach 1,000 career points. Fellow junior guard Antonio Murrell reached the milestone on December 15, 2007 at Indiana University-South Bend.

For the season, Moon is averaging 10.5 points and 3.8 rebounds.

Indiana Wesleyan is 14-6 this season and returns to action at 7 p.m. on January, 23, as the Wildcats travel to play county rival Taylor (Ind.) University.
