Knights with clinic participants
The Marian College women’s volleyball team had numerous firsts this season and the team decided to take their success into the community as they recently hosted clinics in downtown Indianapolis.

The Knights worked in conjunction with the Indianapolis Police Athletic League to conduct volleyball clinics in the city of Indianapolis. These clinics saw young girls from ages 8 to 14 participate at Riverside Park here in Indianapolis.

The volleyball team also spent time with the girls talking with them about the importance of staying in school and earning good grades to enhance their futures.

“This was a great opportunity,” said head coach Dan Findley. “We were able to work with the PAL and our ladies did a great job. The girls were excited and I believe really learned a lot about the game of volleyball. However, I think they also learned that staying in school and doing well are essential. Our ladies were great mentors.”
