MARION, Ind. -- The NAIA released the Women's Soccer National Championship bracket Sunday night for the first ever national tournament with host sites for the opening round.

Indiana Wesleyan University will battle defending national champion Martin Methodist (Tenn.) College in the first round. The match will be on Saturday, November 22 in Pulaski, Tennessee.

The national tournament is a 32-team field with the first round being held at individual host sites. Following the first round matches the remaining 16 teams will play at the ERAU Soccer Field in Daytona Beach, California from December 1-6.

The NAIA seeded the top 16 teams in the tournament. Indiana Wesleyan is unseeded and Martin Methodist enters play as the No. 6-seed.

The No. 23-ranked Wildcats earned an automatic bid to the tournament by claiming the Mid-Central College Conference Tournament championship. IWU defeated top-seed Marian (Ind.) College 4-0 on Saturday night in Indianapolis, Indiana to earn a spot in the NAIA tournament. Indiana Wesleyan is currently 14-2-1.

The RedHawks have built a winning tradition in the past five seasons. Martin Methodist has won the TranSouth Athletic Conference for each of the last five years and has claimed the national title in 2005 and 2007.

This season, No. 3-ranked Martin Methodist is 18-1 and completed a perfect 6-0-0 mark in the TSAC. The RedHawks will enter the match with a streak of 10 consecutive shutouts while only allowing three goals all season.

The tournament selection is the fourth ever for Indiana Wesleyan as the Wildcats have accumulated a 1-3 record in the tournament. Martin Methodist makes its fifth straight appearance and has a all-time record of 9-1-2.
