Senior Nick Johnson paced the Foresters with an eighth place finish in 24:40, improving his personal best time by 29 seconds. His top 10 finish was by far his best showing in three trips to the national event and earned him NAIA All-America honors for the first time in his career.
The four remaining runners who figured in the team scoring also posted record finishes. Junior Joseph Njeri improved on his 49th place finish a year ago by coming in 35th in 25:36. Senior Dan Lindbloom moved up 10 spots from last year's national meet by crossing the line in 57th place with a time of 25:51. In his debut on the national stage, freshman Joseph Herber turned in an 85th place finish in 26:10 and Luke Diehl knocked 37 places off last year's result with an 123rd place finish in 26:39.
The final two harriers competing for HU were freshman Alec Rosario (194th, 28:40) and senior Josh Barnett (210th, 30:21).
