Lindsay Murray scored a game high 24 points to lead the College of the
Ozarks (Mo.) to a 59-50 victory over Indiana Wesleyan University in the
second round of the NAIA Div. II National Basketball Tournament in
Sioux City, Iowa.
Ozarks hit on 14-of-25 field goal attempts in the first half to take a 33-24 lead into intermission. Indiana Wesleyan was able to force the usually steady Bobcats into 21 turnovers but was never able to close the gap as the two teams played even basketball in the second frame.
Murray was the only player for College of the Ozarks to score in double digits and Elaine Hessel led Indiana Wesleyan with 23 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the field.
With the win Ozarks moves on to take on Dickinson State (N.D.) at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 14. Indiana Wesleyan ends their season with 24-10 record.
