The Taylor University men's cross country team rose one spot to No. 23 in this week's NAIA Coaches' Top 25 poll.
The Trojans placed 3rd out of 14 teams at the Indiana Intercollegiates this weekend at Indiana State University. The Taylor runners are idle until October 3 when they travle to Marion, Ind., for the IWU Wildcat Invitational.
Three other MCC schools were acknowledged in the receiving votes section of the poll.
Indiana Wesleyan collected 80 votes after a fourth place finish in Terre Haute, Ind. The Wildcats travle to Falcon Heights, Minn., this week for the GRIAC Invitational 6K.
Marian nabbed eight votes following a 10th place finish in the 32-team National Catholic Championship in Notre Dame, Ind. The Knights run again on October 3 at the Loyola Lakefront Invitiational in Chicago.
After peaking at No. 8 in the preseason poll Huntington fell out of the Top 25 this week. The Foresters finished 8th at the Indiana Intercollegiates last weekend. Huntington will host the E. Dewitt Baker Invitiationl on October 3 for homecoming weekend.
Malone University sits atop the rankings for the 25th consecutive week.
