The Taylor, Huntington and Bethel men's basketball teams each appear as one of the NAIA's top 25 winningest programs in a list compiled and released by the NAIA this week.
Taylor's 1,200 wins tops the MCC and is good for 10th overall in the NAIA. The Trojans are fourth among NAIA Division II programs. Since its inception in 1933 TU basketball has amassed a 1,200-766 record for a .610 winning percentage, good enough for 7th among the listed top 25 schools.
Huntington checks in at No. 23 on the all-time wins list and 11th among NAIA Div. II schools with 1,049 wins. A composite record of 1,049-1,018 since 1921 equates to a .507 winning percentage.
Bethel is the youngest of the three programs, starting in the 1958-59 season, and has collected 1,041 wins for the No. 24 ranking. Its .665 winning percentage (1,041-525) is tied with Georgetown College as the highest among the schools listed in the top 25.
The MCC joins four other conferences with three programs in the top 25.
Georgetown College (Ky.) tops the list with a 1,613-814 record.
