The NAIA has selected Tuesday's women's soccer contest between Marian and Spring Arbor as an NAIA Match of the Week. The afternoon tilt is one of three featured matches across the country this week.

The final regular season match of the season for both teams also holds conference tournament implications as Marian is vying for the top seed and home field advantage throughout the postseason event.

Marian clinched at least a share of their second consecutive MCC regular season championship on Saturday with a 3-0 win over Grace. A win over SAU on Tuesday will complete a perfect 8-0 conference record for the Knights and secure the championship outright.

MU is one of just two remaining unbeaten teams in the NAIA this season with a 15-0-1 record overall. After defeating then-ranked No. 9 Indiana Wesleyan last week the Knights burst into the NAIA Top 25 at No. 16, the highest ranking in school history dating back to 1999.

After opening the season with a 0-0 tie against Houghton College (N.Y.) the Knights have won 15 consecutive games and have outscored the opposition this season by a combined total of 47-2.

Spring Arbor is 10-5-2 (5-1-1 MCC) on the season and is currently in third place of the conference standings. The Cougars have received votes in each top 25 poll this season.

Finishing second to Marian in the 2008 conference race, a win for the Cougars would avenge a 1-0 loss from last season and be the first to top the Knights since Indiana Wesleyan did so on November 15, 2008.
