KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kelsey Pritchard of Taylor (Ind.) has been named the NAIA Volleyball National Player of the Week, the national office announced Tuesday. Pritchard was selected based on her performances from Oct. 19 - 25. She was chosen out of a pool of conference player of the week selections among 23 conferences.
 
Over the weekend at the Crusader Classic hosted by Madonna (Mich.), Pritchard helped lead the Trojans to the tournament title. Opening up action on Friday against No. 18 Madonna, the 6-0 sophomore posted a career-high 33 kills while hitting a blazing .467 to lead Taylor to the five-set victory (19-25, 24-26, 25-17, 29-27, 15-10). Not only was Pritchard active at the net, she matched a career high with 11 digs in a 3-1 win over Embry-Riddle (Fla.) on Saturday. For her performances, she was named to the Madonna Crusader Classic All-Tournament team after tallying 80 kills in four matches.
 
Earlier in the week, Pritchard led Taylor to at least a share of its third-straight Mid-Central College Conference championship in a 3-2 (25-17, 15-25, 25-18, 23-25, 15-11) road win over Spring Arbor (Mich.).

The outside hitter hailing from Indianapolis, Ind., ranks sixth nationally in both kills (448) and kills/set (4.35). She has recorded double-figure kill totals in 27 of 30 matches this season.
