The No. 16 Taylor volleyball team will host Indiana East on Saturday, Nov. 21 at 3 p.m. in the NAIA Volleyball National Championship Opening Round, the NAIA announced Sunday.
 
Taylor (34-5) is making its fifth appearance in the NAIA National Tournament and the first since 2001 after capturing the Mid-Central College Conference regular season and conference tournament titles. The Trojans are 10-16 all-time at the national championships, including an Elite Eight finish in 1997.
 
Indiana East (30-11) won the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference postseason tournament to earn its first ever national tournament bid. The Red Wolves are currently riding a 10-match winning streak.

The winner of the match will advance to the Tyson Events Center/Gateway Arena in Sioux City, Iowa, location of the NAIA National Championship presented by Siouxland Sports Medicine Foundation, Dec. 1-5.

Winners from 11 other opening round matches, the host school Morningside (Iowa), along with 11 teams that received opening round byes will make up the 24-team national championship field.

The final 24 teams will be placed into six pools and will play a round robin pool play, with the top two teams from each pool advancing to the single elimination bracket starting Dec. 4.
