Two MCC schools received votes in the 2010 NAIA Baseball Coaches' Preseason Poll released by the NAIA on Monday.
Taylor grabbed 62 points to finish four spots outside the top 25. Following a school-record 38 wins and a national tournament appearance last season, the Trojans are the top-ranked team in the MCC heading into the 2010 season.
The Trojans open their season against Asbury (Ky.) on February 19 at the Bryan College Tournament in Dayton, Tenn.
Spring Arbor received 17 points after a 30-13 record and regular season conference title in 2009. They were picked second in the league to start the 2010 season. The Cougars also open their season on Feb. 19 vs. Lindsey Wilson (Ky.).
Defending national champion Lubbock Christian received 23 of the 24 first place votes and 684 total points for the top spot in the poll.
The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the 25 conferences, independents and unaffiliated groups. The first regular season Top 25 poll will be announced on March 30.
