With four teams in this week's NAIA Men's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 poll, the MCC boasts more teams in the national ratings than any other conference in the country.
Bethel leads the way at No. 3, moving up one spot from last week after three wins over Holy Cross College, Kuyper College and Concordia University with an average win margin of 35.3 points per game. After spending a week in the top 10, Huntington slipped back to its former spot at No. 12 based on a six point loss to then-No. 9 Cedarville. The loss was the Foresters' second on the season as they sit at 10-2. Their only other scheduled game of the week against IU Northwest was canceled due to inclement weather.
Saint Francis moved up one spot to No. 20 after being idle last week. Posting a 7-3 record, the Cougars will take on No. 2 Walsh at home this week and then travel to NAIA Div. I No. 10 Saint Xavier's tournament over the weekend.
With a 23-point win over Kuyper and a four point loss to Olivet College, Spring Arbor slipped three spots to No. 25. The Michigan Cougars will take on Albion College and Hope this week.
Indiana Wesleyan received its most points since being ranked No. 9 in the preseason poll, with 28. The Wildcats recorded a pair of double digit wins this week and sit at 10-3 on the year.
After arguably the best showing of any MCC school this week, Grace becomes the seventh different league member to receive votes in this year's polls. The Lancers went 3-0 this week including wins over then-No. 11 Cornerstone and Robert Morris, who is receiving votes in the NAIA Div. I poll. To continue a challenging three-game home stretch, Grace will play host to No. 18 Daemen (N.Y.) on Friday.
The next coaches' poll will be released on Jan. 11.
