GOSHEN, Ind. - Just weeks after high school teammate Errick McCollum II broke the Goshen College all-time scoring record, senior Nate West Jr. reached a milestone of his own.

The 6-foot, 4-inch forward became the 21st member of the school's 1,000 point club on Wednesday in the opening game of the Bluffton University Tournament.

West came into the match just three points short of the mark.  He then went over 1,000 points with a layup at the 1:24 mark in the first half of the Goshen win.  He concluded the tournament with 1,015 career points.

West has been the Maple Leafs second leading scorer in each of the last two seasons at 10.3 and 12.2 points a game.
