Day 2 Recap
Entering the tournament as the second seed, Bethel ran through the eight-team double elimination field unblemished to win the 2010 MCC Tournament Championship and earn an automatic bid to the NAIA National Championship in Decatur, Ala.
 
Marian suffered its first conference loss of the season in day one but stormed back in day two avenging its loss to fifth-seeded Huntington and setting up the title bout with Bethel. The Pilots were too much too handle though, as they took the win 15-0 in five innings.
   
 
Day 1 Recap
The field of the 2010 MCC Softball Tournament was cut in half after day one of the double elimination event. Fifth seeded Huntington shocked the field with a pair of upsets over Spring Arbor and top-seeded Marian to advance to the semifinals against No. 15 Bethel. 
Recovering from its first loss to a conference team this season, No. 12 Marian outlasted Saint Francis 5-3 in the day's nightcap that lasted 14 innings. The Knights take on Spring Arbor on Wednesday with all action starting at 10 a.m. at Newton Park in Lakeville, Ind.

The 2010 MCC Softball Tournament takes to the diamond on Tuesday and Wednesday to decide the league's automatic qualifier for the NAIA National Championships in Decatur, Ala. With a perfect 16-0 league record, Marian earned the No. 1 seed in the eight-team field.
