The Taylor University Athletic Department has announced the hiring of Brad Bowser as interim head softball coach. Bowser, who served as an assistant for the Lady Trojans during the 2010 season, brings an experienced background in coaching to the task. He will be replacing Robin Lockridge, who resigned following three years as Taylor's head coach.

Bowser is looking forward to the challenge. "I love building teams, creating vision, and helping students and young professionals discover and go deeper with the question of who God has created them to be."

While at LeTourneau, Bowser also served as the Associate Dean of Students and Director of Residence Life. He and his wife, Jane, have two children and live in Gerig Hall were Jane serves as hall director.

Taylor Athletic Director Dr. Angie Fincannon spoke highly of Bowser's passion for the team and the game. "Brad's experience and his enthusiasm for the softball program will serve him well as he begins his leadership as head coach.  I know his energy and "take charge" approach will certainly make a positive impact."

Fincannon also commended Lockridge on her contributions to the program. "Taylor is appreciative for the leadership and commitment that Robin Lockridge has given to the softball program these past three years.  As an alumnus of the softball program, and her contributions these past seasons, she has served the University well."
