MARION, Ind. -- Indiana Wesleyan University alum Brandon Moore has been chosen to compete in the South Atlantic League All-Star Game to be held June 22 in Greenville, South Carolina.

Moore will be one of six players to represent the Savannah Sand Gnats, a Single-A affiliate of the New York Mets.

The right handed starting pitcher is currently playing in his third professional season with the Mets since being drafted in the 14th round of the 2008 First-Year Player Draft. Moore made history last season as he pitched the first no-hitter in Brooklyn Cyclone (Mets' Short Season A affiliate) history.

Through his June 7 start against Kannapolis, Moore ranks in the SAL top-10 with a 2.32 ERA (ninth), 88 strikeouts (first), 12.1 K/9 IP (fourth) and a 0.94 WHIP (third).

In 12 games this season, the last 10 being starts, Moore is 2-4 with 66 innings pitched. He has allowed just 54 hits while accumulating a staggering 88-to-8 strikeout-to-walk ratio. Moore has allowed one run or less in six of his 10 starts this season and has four starts with double digit strikeouts.

The Kokomo, Indiana native finished his stellar collegiate career with the Wildcats in 2008 where he holds single season school records with 10 wins, 131 strikeouts, 10 complete games and 93-2/3 innings pitched.
